Welcome to our website. We hope to use this site as a way of presenting all our patients with an up-to-date resource for all information relating to our practice, the staff and the services we provide. We aim to keep it current with any news and developments. We also hope you will use this website as a useful source for other health- related information.
Our easy to use format has the added benefit of several online functions, shown at the bottom of this page. Please note that patients will need to enable online services at reception before they can register online. Once you have a passcode from reception go to the bottom of the home page, click on the service you want and the patient access screen loads, you can then either choose to register or sign in if already registered with online services.
If you are new to the area, have a look at our opening times; the practice does not cover all of the Hinckley area therefore please use the link, Hinckley roads in our catchment area to check. Please download a registration form and come and see us.
From June 2016 The Surgery is changing its computer system

Please can you note the following:
Appointments and phone calls between these dates 17th June and 30th June will be for EMERGENCIES ONLY!
All patients who are signed up to ‘Patient Access’ (online prescription ordering) you will need to re-register for this again and please remember to bring in your ID again! Access will cease 10th May and will start again after 10th July.
Please allow yourself enough time to order your medication. Please ensure you order before 17th June so that you do not run out. We are happy to issue more tablets as a one off to last you through this time.
Please could you help in this transition period by only contacting us with more urgent requests?

Existing patients can enjoy access to our wide range of services at the touch of a button. Whether managing your appointment or ordering a repeat prescription you can now do both without leaving your home.
Booking non-emergency transport (ambulances/cars) -
Arriva transport solutions- Patient transport is a vital resource for those patients who need it and should not be seen as an alternative to a taxi or as a means of avoiding the inconvenience or cost of parking. Improving communication with patients
All staff working in the NHS have a legal duty to keep your medical records confidential in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Therefore, staff are unable to disclose any medical information to a third party regarding a patient over the age of 16 without their prior permission. This may seem unfair to you as the person who possibly arranges and drives them to all their appointments. However, under no circumstances can staff assume that consent to release medical information, test results or any appointment information has been given without written authorisation from the patient.
Staff are not trying to be difficult or obstructive, rather trying to protect each patients' confidentiality.
If you would benefit from a third party input/someone else who looks after you (i.e. a family member or a carer) being able to liaise on your behalf, please can you inform the practice in writing. We will then ensure this request is made available in your medical records and we can then liaise with your nominated person as requested.
